Born and raised in the church, Pastor Tyson began matriculating in the ministry at a young age, being born again at the age of eight and preaching his first sermon at the age of eighteen.

Walking in the footsteps of his Mother and his elder Brother, the world renowned psalmist and co-founder of Tyscot Records, the late great L. Pastor Tyson launched into full time ministry in 1990 traveling globally as an international evangelist, before accepting the Pastorate of the Apostolic Faith Assembly in Canton, Ohio in 1993.

In 1997, Pastor Tyson returned to Indianapolis, IN, as the Assistant Pastor of his home assembly, Christ Church Apostolic, where he served faithfully until July of 2010, when he was called by God to assume the Pastorate of his family’s home church, Calvary Ministries International in Youngstown OH, succeeding his mentor and spiritual Father, the late, legendary, Bishop Norman L. Wagner.

Pastor Tyson is a committed husband, Father, Pastor, mentor and friend. His intense devotion to worship, evangelism, and unifying the body of Christ across denominational lines through fellowship and the spiritual and academic development of aspiring young ministers through the spoken word, seminars, lectures and symposiums has made him one of the most sought after speakers in the United States to date.
